The GOP Establishment Mindset
One would think that true conservative “Republicans” would welcome a grass roots effort to push the party toward a smaller, more accountable government, one that’s based on principles of a Constitutional “Republic”. However, it should be crystal clear, at least to those of us who actually pay attention, the entrenched GOP establishment has no real interest in moving away from progressive policies, printing & borrowing money, crony capitalism or costly and misguided interventionist foreign policies. The GOP, and their big moneyed special interests, understand that the Tea Party movement was, and still is, a real threat to the status quo. They can serve to block the progressive agenda of the financial supporters who keep the establishment in power.
In the mind of the political elite, a perfect example of why the Tea Party must be neutralized is the upcoming illegal alien amnesty debate. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce, who fully supports the amnesty agenda and spends millions lobbying both Democrats and Republicans, trotted out lobbyist Bruce Josten, who, as reported by UPI, recently stated..
One of the most positive things that Congress could get done between now and the end of the year is to get immigration reform up and over the finish line.
Business Lobby -vs- The Tea Party
The Chamber of Commerce is now characterizing the Tea Party as “Anti-Business”, even though that assertion is far from reality. The Tea Party movement supports free markets and free people, not centralized planing and no bid contracts for political supporters. The truth of the matter is that the Chamber is increasingly becoming nothing more than a lobbying firm for big government crony capitalists. The Chamber is spending millions on incumbent RINO “yes men”, in an effort to maintain the corrupt status quo.
The GOP Establishment Will Never Relinquish Power
The progressive neocon wing of the GOP, represented by the likes of Lindsey Graham and John McCain, are happy to go along with the amnesty agenda, mistakenly believing the GOP will be rewarded with Hispanic voters, which is highly unlikely. Let us not forget the GOP establishment backed Charlie Crist of Florida, who was beaten out by a Tea Party backed Marco Rubio. That race completely debunked the misguided notion that the more conservative candidate can’t win, along with the idea that the GOP needs squishy, middle of the road, candidates in order to appeal to independents. Charlie Crist is now running as a Democrat, proving that he was actually a progressive political hack, all along.
Unfortunately, Marco Rubio quickly betrayed the Tea Party, who helped him get elected to the senate. He immediately joined with the “Gang of 8” and began pushing for illegal alien amnesty. New boss, same as the old boss. This is proof Rubio cannot be trusted to govern as a conservative, if he happens to be elected POTUS. Thankfully, that’s a longshot, at least at this point.
The power elites in the GOP will never accept a majority of candidates who stand on conservative principles, because like Crist, they really aren’t true conservatives. Most of them want to maintain the huge bureaucracy that allows them to maintain power. They have no interest in real spending cuts. The GOP establishment can’t even stomach the small 2% sequester cuts that are now in place. They will be looking to remove those cuts at the first available opportunity. The current GOP plan appears to be an effort to bargain away sequester cuts, for phony promises of future entitlement cuts, which we all know will never happen.
Hate and lies will continue to be directed at the Tea Party, as long as they oppose the central planners who seek to control every aspect of our lives. I believe the establishment would rather see the GOP go down in flames before they would ever capitulate to constitutional principles espoused by the small government wing of their party.
The Unholy Alliance Between The GOP Establishment, The Chamber of Commerce and George Soros
As I’ve already outlined in this article, the Chamber of Commerce is committed to negating the Tea Party movement. Now comes Carl Rove, the poster boy for the GOP establishment, who has created the Conservative Victory Project, an Anti-Tea Party PAC. Mark Levin perfectly articulated the purpose of Rove’s new PAC.
“We’re being stabbed in the back,” Levin declared.
“Here’s a project funded by crony capitalists, funded by corporatists, who are not conservative, funding a group called the Conservative Victory Project,” Levin began. “This is the sort of thing Barack Obama does; this is a thing Marxists do; they give a name to themselves which has nothing to do with what they’re really up to in order to try and control the propaganda.”
“I’m just showing you how diabolical this effort is,” Levin continued.
When it comes to influence from the left-wing Fabian Socialists, it usually gets around to the George Soros connection and this case is no different. Soros is funding the National Immigration Forum, an organization whose purpose is to pressure lawmakers into supporting Amnesty for illegal aliens.
Breitbart News exposed NIF for being Soros-funded while running a campaign to make it appear as though evangelicals support granting amnesty to illegal immigrants, Noorani admitted his group accepts funding from Soros. Noorani denies that the funding was being used for the Evangelical Immigration Table (EIT), a project that his group runs the operations of, but admits that millions of NIF’s dollars come from Soros and that about 10 percent of its budget this year comes from the leftwing billionaire.
Soros is also intimately connected to Facebook’s Zuckerberg’s FWD.us push for amnesty. Zuckerberg hired Soros’ former chief financial strategist Stanley Druckenmiller. Druckenmiller served as Soros’ chief strategist for more than a decade.
Mitt Romney’s top 2012 campaign donor, Wall Street hedge fund manager Paul Singer, also funds NIF, as Breitbart News has reported.
What voters need to understand is that the real powers that be, the moneyed interests who fund campaigns and set the agenda, don’t care whether a Democrat or a Republican is elected. They only care about their own interests and they will do anything to keep small government conservatives and libertarians from gaining a majority in the GOP. They will protect the status quo, even if it means blowing up the system and allowing the left to retain power, in perpetuity.
